After eating this for 2 decades while growing up, when I went to USA in 2002 I realized it is called Pancake. In India, though mostly referred as “Chila”, we call it “Chilka” that translate into “Peel” of vegetables or fruits, may be this name is given because of similarity in texture. This is super fast recipe, with no fuss ingredients. This update comes after serving ideas from my 10 year old kid, who is also super enthusiastic about cooking and recipes,
Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour (Atta)
2-3 tablespoon full of grated jaggery or powdered jaggery, replace with sugar or honey
1/2-3/4 cup milk
1-2 cardamom pods
2 overripe / mushy bananas
Method
Mash bananas in a bowl using back of a spoon, add jaggery, flour, cardamom seeds and milk, mix using a spoon or whisk, till no visible lumps of flour is seen.

Keep it in fridge for at least 30 minutes,
Heat a griddle / tawa, grease and using a ladle, pour batter on the griddle/tawa. Spread a little & gently,

Cook for a minute till browning starts (if you wish you may cover it), flip and cook till this side browns. Serve warm with homemade (strawberry & apple jam or prunes & apple jam) or with fruit toppings like lychee or mangoes.
